I was wondering if any of you guys knew a good site, or somewhere, where they have game design, modeling, etc. competitions. I had heard of Epic Games "make something unreal" competition but I was a little to late for that. So I was just wondering if you guys knew of any other places or company's that maybe has an upcoming competition.

The Independent Game Festival is the biggie. It's happening right now at GDC. Unfortunately, I had to just attend the summits and come home.

Okay cool thanks Tom! I'm guessing there arent many other competitions that happen alot?

But it sounds like you're looking for lighter fare -- just models, just levels, just mods, things like that. Modify your search string according to need.
And any day now, somebody might post a reply. If not, try asking this question in another forum -- models are "Visual Arts," levels are "Game Design," etc.
It depends on what kind of competitions you're looking for. There are always smaller ones like PyWeek and Ludum Dare that are both coming up and occur frequently, but there are no prizes or anything. You would probably already be aware of the bigger ones. Activision is supposedly putting on a big one pretty soon, though they haven't released any details.
Also, like Epic's competition, some contests are put on by the engine/SDK developers. Unity has had one every year, Microsoft has XNA contests, etc.

@Imelior, Thanks for letting me know of some, I actually hadnt heard of Activision's upcoming one so thanks for that. And Yeah I sure do wish Epic would have another one like that! lol

I didn't mean to give you a hard time over that. There isn't a forum about competitions. Just if you want to know about art competitions, you'll get knowledgeable answers in Visual Arts, and like that there.
