I'm thinking about my approach to adding animation blending to my joint animation class (it's more then one class but just to keep the discussion simple). I assume you would want to blend animations as a way to transition from one animation to the next. Say for example going from a walk to a run animation. Other then transitioning from one animation to the next, with the assumption that it logically makes sense, I'm not sure why else you would blend animations. I also assume you would average the data from one animation to the next within a given time period until it's time to have the next animation take over. So that's what I'm thinking that needs to be done.
