Introduction:All of my programming life has led up to this moment in time... My first piece of software released (and also, my 1000th post on gamedev.net)!About:Eversion Level Editor is an 2D tile-based level editor for the game Eversion created by Guilherme Tows. Eversion is a classic platformer with a dark twist. This editor is based on a single select 'n' paste principle making it simple to create levels from scratch. Building this editor was a fun experience, since I started manipulating the existing maps with a hex editor, trial-and-error style. The editor was hacked in a few days.Technology used:C++ - base programming languageMFC (gasp!) - multiple document interface, keyboard customizationSFML - image loading, OpenGL setupOpenGL - immediate mode renderingScreenshot:Sample level with grid off, and background on.Video:<a href="
video (older version) of me creating a level from scratch and playing it in game.Shameless Plug:If you haven't played Eversion yet, and you have a half hour to kill, you should try it out; it's actually quite fun and quite a thrill!
