choice of opengl or wpf?

I want to create a touch based image viewer application. Like the cooliris or Apple image browser. I also want to add some Physics effects. I have some working knowledge of OpenGL and PhysX, Nvidia physics engine. But my application would be add on to an original application on WPF. Should I try to run openGL on WPF because then integration of PhysX would be easy. Or I should go ahead with WPF only? Also which would give better graphic results.
