DP8 Packet Sizes

I have a question about DirectPlay 8. I know that in DP7, in order to determine the packet size, you could find it in the DPCAPS structure (or something of the like) with the variable dwMaxBufferSize. However, I can't find anything in the DX8 SDK for determining the maximum possible buffer size. It would be very helpful for a batching procedure in when to send messages and such. Thanks.
