Without using a scripting language, is it possible to save a c function as a binary file, and then to load it into your program ? And if this is not possible, then what's the next closest thing to it?

You would create a shared library (a.k.a. .dll in Windows/.so in *nix/.dylib in MacOSX).
From what language do you want to call the C functions?

I'm writing an opengl gui, and rather than just being able to include the guilib in a project, I'd like to be able to save a program using the guilib as a binary file, and then load and execute the binary from within the gui program itself, if that makes sense.

So I'd like to be able to open the gui program, and then load and run binaries(that work seamlessly with the gui) from within this gui program.

I'd be calling the functions from c, and am using OS X.
