Hi, I''ve been wondering about this for some time, but seeing as when there is a crash in some games, and Windows identifies the culprit as DDHELP, and this usually means that you won''t be able to run any more apps that use DDraw until you reboot, what exactly does it do?

It manages the directdraw driver. If you don''t release a DDraw interface, this will clear up the memory leak. It also helps with the interfacing with windows like changing the display resolution.
