If this were used as a bitmap font in a game, is this font copyrighted by microsoft? Otherwise I might be looking at terminus.

U.S. Law: File containing font is protected under copyright. The actual image itself is not. Be mindful of foreign law, German and a couple of others have specific laws and rights with regard to typeface and calligraphy.
