Finding coordinates on a map created in Maya

So im working on a project. We are using Ogre as the "engine". The map was created in Maya. Im trying to do obstacle avoidance steering behaviour now. So i need to know the coordinates of obstacles. The y will always be the same so its gonna be like doing 2D almost. Anyway, the artist who made the map doesnt know how to get the coordinates of the obstacles. Ive never even looked at Maya so im no help there. Does anyone know how he might go about getting them?
