nehe alternatives
I've learned openGL through nehe and it's always explained things well. However, I'm taking the plunge and learning about windows programming, rather than relying on freeglut. The Nehe tutorials are pretty well aged; are there newer alternatives that work better? I ask because I see the tutorials including things like glu and glaux, and things like multisampling being an extension.
If you want to learn the Win32 API for its own sake, you can try theForger's tutorials. But if you're just looking for a replacement to glut, you might prefer GLFW.
Right. My question was more aimed at his use of OpenGL with windows. I'm fine learning win32 programming, it's probably really useful, but I assume most of the things nehe uses extensions for are now part of the openGL standard. I will look at theforger, though, that looks interesting.

There are a few newer tutorials on NeHe, aimed at OpenGL 2.0+, but in general none of it is relevant any more.
