[solved]wavefront obj and vbo/ibo
does anyone know of a converter / library which removes the redundant verts, normals, tex coords in obj files, so that it will be easier to render using vbo/ibo? i dont want to reinvent the wheel (if there is such)...

i switched to 3ds format and followed this: http://www.gamedev.net/community/forums/topic.asp?topic_id=490141
My partner and I are working on a library at this very moment that handles both OBJ and 3DS formats very nicely. We have been attacking this issue very aggressively over the past couple weeks because we ran into this very problem in our own game project. It should be out in the next day or two. Stay tuned! :P
