[XNA] Spherical Texture/Bump Mapping

Hey, does anyone know any good tutorials, or can explain how You can Map a Texture or Height map? onto a Sphere. I Am trying to create a Planet (A Large Circle) on my Game and whenever I render it with a texture, the texture is at current places between each vertex so I end up with 100s of the same texture mapped 100s of time on my Circle. The Other thing I wanted to do Which I understand is texture bump mapping, where I map a hight map onto a Sphere. Thanks in Advance ^^
