i want to implement a vsm on d3d. But the g32r32f format texture is can't being hardware fliter? how can i solve it? thaknk you.

Older hardware won't support filtering of certain formats...there's no way around that. DX10-level hardware will have much more uniform support for filtering supported formats. So your choices are:

1. Use a different format that supports filtering, and live with the precision issues

2. Require DX10-level hardware

or

3. Use a different technique.
