Linker Problems

In a my "CRenderPane" class under "protected:" I have: virtual void onInitialUpdate(); In my cpp I did this: void CRenderPane::onInitialUpdate() { //Nothing } When I compile I get this: apiFunctions.obj : error LNK2001: unresolved external symbol "protected: virtual void __thiscall CRenderPane::onUpdate(void)" (?onUpdate@CRenderPane@@MAEXXZ) I don't know why I am getting this error. Help will be much appreciated. ~Justin12343

It's complaining about a different function than the one you listed.

onUpdate
vs:
onInitialUpdate

Nypyren makes a point, but are you calling the erronous method from another project and you just forgot to rebuild libraries you depend on?
