What''s the best way to make a skybox? I tried using the same procedure used in the "Water" sample in the DX8 SDK, but it looks too much like the inside of a cube. Thanks in advance! HanSolo Sector 13 Games

Skybox really means inside a cube, if u dont like skybox, u must read about "SkyDome", which is inside a half-sphere.
My game is more of a space game, so a half-sphere won''t work. How does one implement a full sphere-mapped environment?

There''s nothing wrong with skyboxes to implement what ''seems'' like the inside of a sphere.

Skybox:

Previously mentioned skydome:

Both of which are excellent articles on the subject.
I''ve got a question. How do you make textures for skybox? I use Bryce 4.0 with panorama-rendering, but i can''t create top and bottom textures. What tools should I use?
Thanks Greg!!! That helped a lot. Anonymous, just go to Greg''s link. It explains everything and more about making skybox textures. Thanks again!
