does anyone know of any CreateSurfaceFromJPG kinda function? I need to know how to read from .jpg''s. thanks

Are you using DirectDraw or Direct3D?

If DDraw, download the free Intel IJL JPG library from www.intel.com.

If D3D, use the DirectX8 D3DXLoadTextureFromFile funtions.
