Sliced or non sliced objects ??

Hello !!! I wonder what is better to use in 2D iso engine - objects(trees,houses,etc...) sliced into tiles, or non sliced objects - just clipped to screen as they are. I know that there have allready been some discussions about that, but I still don''t know what is better. What is better for the performance ?? I use vc++ and dx7. Thanx guys -- Uros Life lived unexplored is life not worth living !

Unsliced will perform better at least in isometric and is a by far much easier to use.
