Converting 3DS animations to the .X format..

Hey everybody. I''m a newbie at programming, but have been modelling for a few years now. When I''m now exploring the worlds of gamedevelopment I''ve stumbled across the directx format .X. I''ve got this animation in 3DS that I would like converted to the X format. But no matter how I tries the animation doesn''t follow. Does someone know how to do this? thanx.

You must get 3D studio max r3 and a plugin.
this plugin is to export the .max files that contains Animatrions made with inverse or direct kinematics (bones).
You can get that plugin from http://msdn.microsoft.com/download
