Hey, I must say. This is one of the best sites I have ever seen.... I have been searching for over a few weeks now for some good sites on opengl... Alas, most sites have half assed code, that never seems to work quite right... This site is the one exception... I think I am going to be making a small donation just to show my appreciation for the creator and organizer of this material (now only if I could find a good winsocks site... HAHAH, like that will ever happen, DAMN THAT MICROSOFT AND THEIR DAMN PRIPRIATARY MATERIAL!!). Again, thanks guys for giving information out as is should be, free. It gives us developers a chance to reward on the human side rather then the corperate. Masterprompt

Sockets isnt microsoft code, only the very few winsock specific functions are. Winsock is simply the windows implementation of sockets. You''ll find that coding sockets on *nix is almost identical to doing it in windows.

There are all Linux oriented guides but if what is said above is true, it should be the same thing© I think the worst thing you will have to avoid is Windows does not treat everything as a file so recv¥¤ and read¥¤ may act differently©
