Newbie question

Hi. Just downloaded the PR 4 demo code. I loaded a simple sphere and torus, created in 3DS 4 and exported as .3DS, into PRO Editor. The face normals don''t appear to have been read correctly as both objects are rendered with somewhat haphazard shading on the individual triangles. Cetainly not smooth shaded. Any ideas as to what I might have done wrong here? Thanks.

In the material editor in PROedit, select "GOURAUD_SHADED" as the method. It sounds like it is on "FLAT_SHADED" from what you have explained.
