HI ALL! I just got Bryce and experimented with it a bit! I found that there are loads of cool things which could be done by using this softawre for creating landscapes but.......... There is a question - is there any way to port heightfields created on Bryce into OpenGL. I tried to save heightmaps as bitmap but couldn''t do it. Thanks!!!!

I''ve used bryce for 2 or 3 years, and i think its a really cool program. You might be able to save the hightmap by going into the topographical editor for the landscape in question, and then using a screen capture utility, and then croping the image, and using the resulting bitmap. You could try doing that. I''ve never done it before, so I''m not sure how it would work. I''m curious to know how it turns out, if you try using this method. Don''t expect the landscape in bryce to look anything like the landscape in ogl. Bryce''s landscapes have LOTS of polys in them.

good luck
