Render Targets

Okay - I''m having a small problem with an application. We are setting a new render target to the device - after an end scene with the old one - a begin scene is done it is cleared as is the zbuffer - and we render to it. Then we do an endscene and revert back to the original render target and do a begin scene (no clear this time). The problem now comes that we set the render target as a texture to draw from. The first couple of times that this is done in the application the proper image does not appear and we get corruption - not even the clear executes properly !! Then for some reason it starts behaving properly and we get the correct image/effect happening. Does anyone have any idea why this happens or how we can force the rendering to the render target to finish before we swap back to the original target ? Sorry about the ambiguity but I can''t really go into much more detail. MrF. MrF. -- Code..reboot..code..reboot..sigh!
