bullet question

ok i have a bullet and do i need to use acceleration to calculate how to send it from point a to point b. do you guys use the general physics equation for this? cause i dont know how i would use m/s^2

It depends on if you want to see the actual bullet or not...

If you do:
don''t use acceleration, just give the bullet a constant vel that is really high. In most cases, a bullet won''t have time to change it''s trajectory, so you don''t need to accelerate it

If you don''t:
don''t worry about it...
just trace a path between the starting point, and some point that is very far beyond where you are aiming. Use whatever collision detection you are using to get where it hits, then go from there.

yes .

use physiscs .. then only the bullet will seem real..
of course you have to normalise a bit, since some times it would be too slow to compute everything ..

well its for a scorched earth kind of game but i found the following 2 equations should work fine and i dont need to worry about acceleration.

x= v cos 0 t
y= v sin 0 -gt
