I wanted to have a play with this feature but seem to be having some problems. I want to create a report that shows the numbers of cache misses, so I followed these steps.

- Create a new Instrumentation Analysis project
- Go to the projects properties and enable CPU Counters
- Add 'Platform Events' -> 'L2 Cache' -> 'L2 lines in' to the selected counters
- Right click the Analysis project and click 'start profiling'

But doing so just crashes, and brings up "<Application Name> has stopped working". Visual studio doesnt crash, just the Analysis Project.

Im testing this with a simple c++ project, which works fine for the CPU sampling Analysis projects. Any ideas what Im doing wrong?
