Run installation without browser

Hi!

I develop browser-plugin for our applications. Our applications are 3 dimensional.

But I have one problem.
In order my program began to work, I have to install our plugin at user computer. After installation plugin downloads and runs our application.

Algorithm:
1. Users download our plugin;
2. Restarts the browser;
3. Plugin downloads the specified game;
3. Our program began to work.

If plugin is not installed, javascript checks it and ask a user to download and install it.

When you try to play a game - browser ask you to download plugin and install it, after installation and restarting of the browser you can play a game.

So... the problem:
A lot of users don't want to download "some strange plugin" and of course run it.

So we try to find other solutions to install plugin.
I found google O3D plugin. And it's installation is pretty nice. I don't have to "download - and - run" plugin installation.

how does it works ????? How explorer runs an installer ?? Or exe file ?
