Ok, I'm not exactly a beginner, I already know a few languages and some of the more intricate parts of programming object oriented systems. However, I just started with XCode and Objective C, and what I lack right now is a decent reference file for commands. Ideally I like to use an offline, searchable reference document (i.e. a Help file) while I code, but the XCode help doesn't seem to have any command reference files in it at all.

Can anyone recommend to me a good command reference document, preferably one I can download to my Mac?

Although it's not obvious if you muck around with XCode there is a way to download the documentation.
The documentation view in XCode should allow you to download the documentation sets, so that they're available for off-ling reading.
Also, if you look closely at the top right corner of this page for example, most of the Apple documentation is available to download as pdf files.

So it is, thankyou. I never noticed that tiny little button. Still need to find the command reference section of the Apple site, but I'm sure it's in there somewhere...
