3D space project

I've made my space game project Simerge opensource now. To describe it and it's main features briefly. Simerge is an Elite inspired game. Beside classical spaceflights the major features are 1st/3rd person perspektive and seamless planetary flights. It is designed as a sandbox style game where the player will be able to interact with countless different NPCs living in a dynamic universe. He will be able to trade, build diverse structures (including own facilities and marketplaces) and command an entire fleet. In addition, combat in space and on ground will be an essential gameplay element.

I would like to find motivated contributors in all areas. Coders and Quake3 map designers are especially needed now. All other help is welcome, too. In this case be encouraged to send me a PM.

This is, really is, the game idea I want to see. Do I get you right, that you plan a combination of 'X' and 'Frontier: First Encounters'? The videos show something like that. It looks promissing.

It has much from Elite games. Especially the planets. But yes it's some sort of combination. It'll have very much elements from X, especially their Trade, Fight, Build, Explore concept. Also there will be some I-War2 (goes a little in elite direction) elements like the freedom to travel through huge solarsystems. My own addition is the implementation of 1st/3rd person walking with NPC interactions. I hope this would bring some more activity I simply missed in X3 or I-War2.
