Anybody knows why this XNA crap does not work?

Setting the write color channels has no effect on Clear command.

graphicsDev.RenderState.ColorWriteChannels = ColorWriteChannels.None

It just does nothing.

Render states only affect rendering, and a Clear doesn't render anything. You can control whether the color gets cleared by using the ClearOptions enumeration.
