Compiled Vertex Arrays

Hi, can anybody tell me what does the following mean? I read, that if you lock a vertex array, then you can''t change it. I want to know if I can translate an Array with the GL-Commands or not. Thanks in advance.

Yes, ofcourse. Locked just means that you can''t modify the vertex data, but the normal OpenGL pipeline still applies, including the modelview matrix stack. That means, that you can use any commands modifying the matrix eg. glTranslate, glRotate, glScale, glLoadMatrix etc...
