Does anyone know why I have to still use GL_FLOAT_R_NV risking that my render

target code won't work on ATI hardware ?

glTexImage2D(GL_TEXTURE_RECTANGLE, 0, GL_FLOAT_R_NV, w, h, 0, GL_RED, GL_FLOAT, NULL);

shouldn't I use GL_R32F instead ? That should let the code to work for both nvidia and ati cards ! Hoping that it's safe to use (I mean that it's been elected as a core opengl extension).

Thanks

What version is your OpenGL context?

I didn't check that ! Btw I've verified that I was getting incomplete attachment due to the fact that I was using GL_TEXTURE_2D instead of the correct GL_TEXTURE_RECTANGLE, so the standard internal format GL_R32F is fine to use and it'll work for both ATI and NVIDIA cards.

Thanks
