Hello, sorry if I'm in the wrong forum, I just didn't know where to put this.

Is there a way to embed some of maya or 3ds max functionality into my editor? I want to be able to animate inside it, but I don't want to reinvent the wheel (and a pretty big wheel, for that matter). Are some dlls available for use as plugable modules, or maybe in some other way?

I don't know if you can do that. Most large companies do the opposite - they write their level editor as a plugin for Maya or Max. This is one of the reasons very few major 3D games come with level editors.
