Hey again fellow progs,
Anyone know which version of MSVC++ the gpu gems solutions were built in? I've tried 2005 and 2008 and both want to do conversions that fail. Seems like i can never get any of the demos or code running. Would really love to get the code for this chapter working: http://http.developer.nvidia.com/GPUGems2/gpugems2_chapter31.html where the source code can be downloaded here:
http://http.download.nvidia.com/developer/GPU_Gems_2/CD/Index.html (chapter 31)
This is the main one for turning a conventional problem into a form that could be solved on the GPU. It seems VERY cool but as the chapter explains, they have built a couple of functions, with PUG in the name, to make it easier.

"To make this easy, we've put together a very basic framework in C++ that you can use to write GPGPU programs. You'll find the framework on the CD included with this book. The framework, called pug, incorporates all of the analogies from the previous section in order to abstract GPGPU programming in a manner more accessible to experienced CPU programmers."

As if thats not all, i constantly get 'missing dll' errors, but im pretty sure i can fix those. Usually they ear to do with direct x, d3d.

Let me know if you've had the same problems.
