Translating Meshes on the Screen?

Good morning!

I have a model that renders as part of my GUI, but I don't know how I should go about moving it on the screen. Right now I'm just changing the view matrix to 0,0,50 while the model is at 0,0,0, then rendering that. The problem is that it renders to the center of the screen, and translating it in world space messes with the angles too much.

What can I do to get around this?

EDIT: Forgot to mention, I'm using D3D11, if that makes a difference.

take a look at that

it has implementation of gui on d3d11[with text, buttons, scrollers and other stuff]

aside from that how about using Screen Space?
