The Legend of Edgar is a platform game with a persistent world, bosses and a load of secrets.

In The Legend of Edgar, you take on the role of Edgar as he ventures across the world, battling fearsome creatures and solving puzzles whilst trying to find and rescue his father.

The main quest is fully completable and I'm currently working on finishing off the optional quest.

Here's a gameplay video I put together over the weekend. Having trouble finding a format that YouTube won't mangle at a 640x480 resolution.

This is one of the coolest games I've ever played.. it's a lot of fun.

Unfortunately, after getting the coal, when I try to go back to the entrance and there are about 10 rocks right in a row, I CANNOT get passed. I've spent the past hour loading and reloading the game trying to get past, even with full health. It stinks, because I was really enjoying the game.

Wish I could play, because it was really sweet until that part. ='(

That doesn't sound good. Is the lift to the right of the coal not working?

It worked. I did it after some time trying to get passed the rolling rock xD

I think you should have the savepoints act as checkpoints, as well. So when you die, you respawn there after the game over screen (as opposed to having to manually reload it).

Also, health goes a bit fast.. have you considered having health regenerate, maybe 1/4th heart at a time?

Like I said, this is an awesome game. You did an excellent job.
