Game structure

Okay. I've made a few failure games in the past and realize most of the problems are from the structure. So what I'm asking is: what is the proper way to structure a game. Like, are there any tutorials I can read? I'm just not sure of how to go about it properly...

If it helps...I want to make an RPG. like a text rpg where you pick your class, can pick monsters to fight and it just does a random roll to see what your damage is...ect.
how have you structured them in the past. Games tend to not have a finite structure that fits different kinds of games. Most games are designed to work with that game and no others.

I'm not mean, I just like to get to the point.
It seems like you're overthinking your codes organization. There's not going to be one way that anyone solves a problem that's the correct or proper way. That being said there are better ways but to find those out you need to study code others have written and write your own code on your topic of interest.
