Suppose I have two type-aware implementations of a templated class, eg say the good old vector class for single and double precision. I'd like to switch from one to the other in the simplest possible way. Now, since either case needs a different SSE implementation, what's the savviest solution to accomplish this? Doing run-time type checks and running conditional SSE setups sounds like an awful idea. Yet I'm not sure how to do this so that it won't impact the final core code.
