Hi, this is most probably an easy one..:
I have approx. 60MB big file on server with xyz coordinates (1000 frames), which I would like to open and send only a part of the data (1frame cca 70KB) to client (my PC). I use it for drawing in WebGL, so javascript, ajax, php no problem.

So basically I would like to edit file on the server side. - without the need to download the entire file.

File format is JSON.

many thanks in advance.

Why edit? Just read the part you need into a buffer and send only that bit.
Or, memory map that server and send the requested bit directly (leaving the work of getting the data from disk and all that to the OS).

If you happen to use HTTP and a plain normal webserver for your transfers, this is even built in -- just supply a Range: header.
