For the purpose of my portfolio I'm trying to work out what the official 'role' is
What's your job title?
Quote:
responsible for managing the day-to-day production of the game, ensuring daily progress, QA and providing lists of changes/bug fixes for each build, sourcing sound effects, creating marketing and PR materials, etc.
...the Managing Director would look at builds every week and provide his thoughts, suggest some of the features but was not involved in the daily production of the game
I'd call that person the producer / assistant-producer.
Quote:
being the holder of the overall vision for the gameplay and providing feedback to the team with regards to style and gameplay mechanics
I'd call that person the game designer or (if you had more authority in the organisation) creative director.

1. My official job title is Project Coordinator,
2. but that means different things to different industries

1. So list your role as Project Coordinator, then.
2. So what? In an interview, if somebody asks about your role, just tell her.
