After months of programming I've finally released my new game.
It's based on the TV game "Deal or no Deal?" but has a few extra modifications of my own. For example the top prize is £2,000,000 and you can choose from 26 briefcases, etc.
It's compatible with any Windows PC operating XP or above and it fully works with Windows 7 too. - *this game requires Microsoft .NET framework 4 to run*
The high-scores feature will be added shortly along with support for more currencies such as the US Dollar and the Euro, etc.

Please test my game. It's based on Deal or no Deal.
It looks presentable, however you need to research trademark law a little bit. This is not just some edge games type situation. This is clear, blatant abuse of a common and strong trademark. Hopefully you wern't planning on releasing this (as is), even for free. At least name it something else and use different art. Otherwise you (quite easily) are leaving yourself open to a lawsuit.
Thanks for the advice. Anybody got any ideas for a good name?!
And btw I have personalised it a bit. Like I said it's "based on" the original TV game but it isn't if you get me. For starters I use briefcases instead of boxes and the highest prize is £2,000,000 instead of £250,000!!!

The french version of this TV show over here in Quebec is called "Le Banquier" and it use briefcases too :). As for the money value, well since it's not real money it don't really means anything.
Hmm...I didn't know that the French use briefcases too!
Okay...I see your point guys. What I'm going to do is release version 1.0.2 tomorrow which will include trademark law fixes. I'll put in my copyright statement: "the Deal Or No Deal concept is copyright to Deal Or No Deal".
That way I won't be breaching any copyright laws.
Anyway...veering away from the subject slightly...this is my first ever application that i've ever made. It took me 8 months to complete believe it or not (I'm only an amateur!!!). What do you think of my first attempt guys?!

I hate to harp on this, but.. Its trademark, not copyright, and even if you put a disclaimer in there its still in violation. The only way you can use their trademark is if they expressly grant you permission.
You're probably going to get sued, or at least get a nasty letter from the NBC lawyers. It needs to have (at the very least) a different name, a different logo (it can't look just like the Deal or No Deal logo, even if it's a different name), different overall look and feel, different names for things, etc. They can't stop you from making a clone, but a clone masquerading as the original is another story.
