"How'd they do that?"

The most encouraging and helpful information I get is how other released software accomplished their goals. Hearing that 2012 used Bullet helped me realize it's potential. Reading about the navigation mesh Jack and Daxter used gave me insight to how I can realize the finished product through it's pieces. What uses Scaleform? What has used RenderWare? General technologies used, as well as APIs would be great.

I don't know what this looks like, or how far it extends back. It might be good to have a section per-game, a sort of wiki, that lets people comment on the game's issues, code, design, would be great!
