Leslie Nielsen of "Naked Gun" fame has sadly passed away at 84.

I'll pour one for the homie. His comedy will be missed.

I am serious. And don't call me Shirley.

+1

I've seen all of the Naked Gun movies each at least 20 times over. Classic movies. RIP Leslie Nielsen.
Perhaps a moment of silence interrupted by a fart joke or sexual innuendo?

">IMO he wasn't that funny. Ratehr, he was unique.

And my favourite role by Nielsen Will always be
">one of the few non-comedic ones he did -
">some things just don't need to be grimy and gory to be scary.

The youtubes don't work well for me, but you've got to understand that for the first 30 years of his career he played nothing but serious roles. That's one of the things that makes the comedy roles of the second half of his career funny.

Don't forget he was one of the lead actors in Forbidden Planet (1956), a true sci-fi classic.
