noise shaders

I'm looking for some decent noise shaders, where you sample several octaves from a noise texture...such as ridged multifractal, turbulence etc.
I have found a few but I wonder if there is a collection of these somewhere....

GPU Gems 1&2 have Perlin noise shaders, and are available for free on the NVidia website. As I recall, the article in GPU Gems 1 is a cheap approximation, and the article in GPU Gems 2 is the real thing.

I have used the version from GPU Gems 2 in my project and it works nicely for layering several octaves of 4D noise together to create animated procedural lava. I haven't measured the performance though!
