Where is the COLLADA SDK?
in the case you are interested in the import functionality only, I would recommend you also check Assimp:

OpenCollada
I'm actually not sure... I thought that was just open source plugins for 3ds max and maya.
Well when I found it, the first line says:
"OpenCOLLADA is a COLLADA SDK that includes plug-ins for Autodesk Maya and 3ds Max."
So I was guessing you might want this. I don't actually know anything about COLLADA. Sorry.

Don't worry. Tomorrow SDF will have given up on this too, and will be asking about the next SDk he chooses to use. [lol] He's running out of formats though.

For some reason that page points to an old version of OpenCollada. The new version is here: http://code.google.com/p/opencollada/

Yeah that's perfect. I think the framework part is exactly what I'm looking for but there is one problem...
How do I download the most recent version of the project?
I can go into the trunk and download each file individually but that takes a really long time... I had to do this with the Recast project and it sucked...
Those online projects (similar to the ones on sourceforge.net) need a SVN client (source control software) to be donwloaded and used. Install for example TortoiseSVN and use that to checkout all files in a folder.
