d3dx9_38.dll not found..!!

hi,
The file "d3dx9_38.dll is missing" comes whenever I try to play the game on my computer...is this file related to games or there is some another problem...can any body help?

Long story short, install latest DirectX redist. package link.

Which scan? Will my virus scanner consider this dubious? If so, why? You did register up just to help another dude who registered up for a question that is not about game development?
