UV coordinates tiling problem

Hi everyone. I made a terrain in 3ds max and stuck a tillable texture on it, and set the tillable UV to about 16 each way, so the texture is detailed. in DirectX the texture just appears once, stretched and not tiled.

have i got to do something in code or am i missing something else. I used panda .x exporter

Use "Unwrap UVW" (or some other UV) modifier to tile your texture across terrain.
Dont use UV tiling thru "Material Editor" as it will not export!
