If you feel like putting your 2 cents in, then go here and make your Top 25 favorite game of all time list (1st=25pts, 2nd=24pts, ..., 25th=1pt).

Here are the current results that involves 650 gamers so far.
Other top-lists are also available (by year, decade, genre and systems) if you want to mess around with more of them.

Check out my own list of top games (what a great list, i know):
http://www.unikgamer…apissama-1.html

Post the link of your Top games and feel free to discuss your choices!
Check it out if you got a few minutes to spare, it's a really fun concept, especially if you're a longtime gamer (and bored :D)

I'll start it off by posting my own all time Top 25.
Behold, these games made me hooked to that entertaiment medium for life. And yes, Heroes III is a drug and a good one at that :)

This sounds familiar, to say the least...

I know but the site got a lot better now, so I was thinking to start a fresh topic that explained things a little better :)

Allow me to express some surprise at your evidently rather odd demographic distribution: apparently the quiz was filled in by 40- and 13-year-olds, but there's most definitely a decade missing from there. HL2 can only score that high if there's no HL1, Quake, Unreal or UT to challenge it. And where are the real classics of the 90's - the X-COM games, Transport Tycoon and Doom? Beaten by Pokemon? Really?

And then there's stuff I haven't even heard of, eg Chrono Trigger and Super Mario Bros Melee (Seriously? This made the list?!).

With all due repsect, sir, I challenge the objectivity of your list! Sir.

Beaten by Pokemon? Really?

Sad but true.

Just sad.
I will have to say the demographics are a bit skewed if games like HL1, DooM, Starcraft etc are beaten by HL2,Fallout3,super mario melee and galaxies, all the pokemons etc...

Even the JRPGs are a bit demographically skewed... Earth Bound and Sukiodens are generally more well regarded as better games than newer finalfantasys like X and XII. They just very rare and hard to find. Thus many people haven't played them (I own them both :D)

I am actually in partial agreement with you. I think that list is clearly dominated by younger generations.
But the next feature that I'm working on right now will let us sort that list by generation of gamers. We'll be able to compare the list of gamers born between 75-79 vs 80-84 vs 85-89 and so on.

We'll have the same thing with countries (US vs UK vs France, ...)
and gender (Male list vs female one)

I am looking forward to see what kind of list we'll get.
It should be ready in the next few days :)

On an other note, you should at least have heard of Chrono Trigger (maybe you were sarcastic or something)
Actually, now that I googled it, I can say I know of Chrono Trigger, but I've never played it. I've played a whole bunch of games that didn't make it on the list, though :).
I'm not familiar Chrono Trigger either, but I'm blaming that on the fact that I'm of a cetain age and from the United Kingdom — the list seems heavily skewed towards console games (and Nintendo consoles at that) whereas I'm more familiar with home computer offerings. There's no way Jet Set Willy should be all the way down at #1271. [wink] I'd be interested to see the list filtered by different demographics.
