Well first of all your mommy and daddy got together, probably around 12 years ago, and had some special cuddles. Then you were born and spent the intermediate time running around bumping into things.

Now that you've had enough bumping into things it's time to decide what you want to do with your life, in particular network programming in order to stay on topic in this area of the forum.

Once you've thought about what you want to achieve it's time to use something called the Internet to find out how. Popular methods of doing this are to search or "google" for an answer.

After reading tutorials, articles and papers upon your chosen area of research you should at this point be able to start working on something yourself using the examples of others as a guide.

If in the course of this work you stumble upon a problem that you cannot find the solution for using any of the above methods (in particular the running into things method) then you come onto these forums, write a nice to the point yet fully descriptive question detailing exactly what you're trying to achieve, exactly what you've got done so far, exactly what the problem is and exactly what methods you've already tried to debug and fix the problem.

Once that is done you can then proceed with running into things for several hours while the kind people of gamedev review your questions and post anything helpful that they think might help.
