Drawing Two Squares

If I draw one textured square with alpha blending (and a texture that makes use of that) and a color square (D3DFVF_XYZ | D3DFVF_DIFFUSE) it will be blank (see-through). If I use another texture that does not use alpha blending it works fine... Very strange.

How could the currently set texture make a difference when drawing a D3DFVF_DIFFUSE only object?

Any ideas?

Do you have dev->SetTexture(0,NULL) before you draw the color square?

Other than that, you'll need to post some code.
