Before you read, yes, I am Jamaican. No we don't live in huts, and we have 4G
here too. Mind my insurmountably low level of English usage throughout post, due to the factum that I'm lethargic.

In a nutshell, one could say I'm an openwolrd 'man-whore',
and though that was entirely outlandish a thing to mention, it's true.

Before you exit the page, take a look at the 3D screens further below oki.

If I were to interlocute about my affaction and adulation for open world
games, this post would go on for ever, so I would rather not indulge myself.

Now, I have been programing, specifically for a year.
More specifially, SDL 2D for 3 months.

Here's screens for one of three of my 2D games, Ghetto 2D:

Then I moved on to openGL and it's robust api wihtout loooking back!!!Dont't let my short programming experience fool you though. From the get go, learning openGL 3d api, my first demo, ( after 4 days ) was a object damage demo, involving mathematics that don't surpass simple addition, no simple incrementation.....

screens of damage demo, pay attention to cube, which is currently selected in scene:

Yeah, I remember, ( not 3 weeks ago ), when I used to have to use quadric objects. Thankfully, I can create my own quadric objects from scracth... :)

after
a week, I had an entire demo, called it Ghetto "Slums of Jamaican Society", stemming from it's 2D counterpart, and name the engine 'GAGE',
Ghetto advanced engine, though not really an engine, but just a system of easily reusable code.

To be honest, a programming slump arrised, due to schoolwork, but the holidays have granted me power and the new found skill to tesselate objects, create wonderful terrains, and employ the usage of FreeImage's image library.

No furhur work has been done on Ghetto 3D since start of my openGL journey,
but I've been steadily and permanently gaining openGL know how, experience,
robustness and inginuity.

Keep in mind that all the structures in game are coded manually, from scratch, without 3d modelers or loaders, since i was beginner, and created and moulded them using newly incoming knowledge of openGL. yes only the power of glVertex3f ( ) made these structures, vehicles possible.

If the vehicles appear lit, they're not. Just well textured .bmp objects.

WHAT DO YOU THINK? Ghetto worth continuing? I would like to partner with someone familiar with large scale island rendering....

@Ghostknight...much appreciation. I will be engulfing my brain in openGL for a while, fueling the quality of Ghetto's appearance and technology as time elapses.

@Tom SLopper
This is a design idea. Only 3d models have been made, and it's not a dev log, but a conception. I also mentioned that this is as far as ghetto goes for now, until 3 weeks later when i would be readi to add real physics and what not.

No, they are just models, showing off elements that the game will probably have.
There are models, nohting else not even lighting is implemented. Just design ideas shown in images. Some people draw design ideas, I code them :)
