hi,
I want to learn abut networking and multiplayer aspect of gaming.
Just a little confused where to start with, I have basic knowledge about OSI layer, IP,TCP/UDP etc. But what I want to learn is how to program it such that
i can use it in PC or handheld devices( Iphone etc).

If anyone can suggest some books or tutorials which can provide the fundamentals about network programming in games, that would be great.

All suggestions are welcome :)

Thanks

I really doubt you can use winsock on an Iphone.
For low level socket programming I would recommend Beej's guide instead:
http://beej.us/guide/bgnet/

For something more high-level and platform independent I would recommend SDL_Net:

The Forum FAQ is actually the best place to start.

Btw: I deleted another link that has been posted in this forum a few too many times lately. It's not that good, and the incessant re-posting seems more like an attempt at links spamming than helpful.
